If you are the kind of person who like to keep their distance from ghosts, do not read this book. However, this book is still a truly gripping book. I will try my best to give you a short plot summary for this book.
The hill stations of Mussoorie and Shimla are both known for their links with the supernatural. The author has taken her time and after a lot of research has written this book. This book talks of the most famous ghost stories. From skeletons with twisted hands and feet to witches, this book contains it all. These stories are all based on the experiences of the residents of Shimla. The book has sixteen chapters on the supernatural, so the spookiness never dies.
The book is one of a kind. The author has described the events in a way that makes it feel horrifying. However, as I was reading the book I noticed that only a few stories were true Shimla stories with the true Shimla horror to them. The rest of the stories sounded like they were either made up and were very much predictable. After reading these stories, you may want to go to Shimla and try to explore whether these stories are true or not. That is how addictive this book is. If you love to read horror stories, I assure you that this book is written for you. Also, this book is not for the faint of heart. This book can sure give you sleepless nights and goosebumps. I am a teenager and the first time I read this book, I was not able to sleep at the night. Thus, I do not recommend this book for children below the age of 12 years.
