Hey! I am Mridula and I guess this time I have to write that I am back after a very long time. First, I am definitely going to say sorry for not writing for this long. So, today I am going to write the summary for the fourth book in the Heroes of Olympus series- House of Hades. I told you before that the overall plot of this series is confusing and so, we are taking it one book at a time. Let’s get started!

After Annabeth Chase and Percy Jackson fall into Tartarus, the other five demigods (Frank, Hazel, Jason, Leo and Piper), with Nico di Angelo, prepare to go to Greece to find and close the Doors of Death from the mortal world in order to stop more monsters of Gaia’s army to return to the mortal world. In the story, Hazel’s learns to control the mist and her power grows stronger by the day. While the others on the ship also slowly start discovering their strengths and become better demigods. At the same time Percy and Annabeth also face some of the most terrifying monsters in Tartarus. They find some help in Tartarus from a…ahem, TITAN. With his help they scale the entire landscape of Tartarus to reach the Tartarus side Doors of Death and close it from that side. When they finally escape with the help of Leo and Hazel and a goddess, Percy and Annabeth finally have a happy reunion with their friends. At the same time Reyna arrives there and Annabeth asks her to take the Athena Parthenos to Camp Half-Blood and Nico and Coach Hedge accompany her saying they were not an essential part of the quest and could easily travel with Reyna.
So, here we are talking about my favourite book from the series. One reason I love this book is because Percy and Annabeth fall into Tartarus. That part is actually what makes people curious or interested to read this book. The action of this book especially Percy’s and Frank’s is worth reading for. The book also contains a chapter where Percy shows the amount of power he has when he controls poison and a bunch of other toxic chemicals and uses it against a minor goddess. Percy and Annabeth’s pair strikes again and in this book they once again prove how much stronger they are together. Like the part where they actually (SPOILER ALERT) walk through the mansion of Nyx (she gave birth to a bunch of gods called the most terrifying gods of Tartarus).
Again the fact that Leo and Percy, though in separate places, are still in the same book takes the book to a new level of humour. This book is now a complete manual to both Roman and Greek mythologies which makes this book even more fun to read. In all definitely add this book to your book-list.
I still remember that after I had read this book, I wanted to desperately know my Godly parent and which character from the books do I most relate to and that is when I came over Rick Riordan’s official website. Here you can get updates about his new books or try out quizzes to test your knowledge. So click on the link below, if you want try out these quizzes. And in case you were wondering, my Godly parent is Poseidon and I relate most to Percy Jackson, when it comes to which demigod I am.
